S&H has been a leader in the development of Product Certification in the fire and emergency services sector. Our garments have been certified to the AS/NZS standards since the first Wildland standard was introduced in 2001. Later, Structural garment standards & hi-visibilty for emergency workers were introduced to the programs. We engage in independent product testing and factory certification.

The Core Values of Stewart and Heaton under pins the company’s position as one of Australia’s premium specialised apparel procurement companies. S&H is committed to acting ethically and responsibly in all areas of operations. Consequently, S&H has developed a Supplier Code of Conduct which forms the basis of all decisions and actions taken with regards to our supply chain. The objective of this code of conduct is to focus S&H supply chain activities ensuring all dealings with suppliers are in line with Ethical Trading Initiatives to have a positive impact on society.

Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA®) is an accreditation body working collaboratively with local textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) businesses to ensure their Australian supply chains are legally compliant. The program maps a company’s Australian supply chain throughout the entire cut, make and trim process, including all value adding processes. This is done via annual compliance audits conducted through an agreement with the Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Union (the Union).
